Columbus rooftop weddings!

Ever wonder how fabulous weddings look so fabulous? Well the answer to that could be one of two things: successful Pinterest projects or an event designer! We met up with local event designer Dalay Ket at a rooftop Columbus wedding to see all the action behind transforming a special moment through the use of floral arrangements, lighting, and decor.

We also learned about the difference between an event planner and designer – as a designer, Dalay focuses more on the aesthetic elements such as flowers, lighting, and table settings. What we love most about Dalay Ket Event Designs is the ambition and passion seen in her work. Starting up only 5 months ago, she has been booked solid every weekend this summer! Fortunately, we were able to ask some questions during her free time and learned a little more about her business.

  • She started her business around February 2014, right before graduating with a background in design from The Ohio State University.
  • Events range from company parties to weddings.
  • Her favorite experiences are seeing clients’ & guests’ reactions to the designed space!
  • Dalay will be opening up her studio & workspace in the upcoming months.

Seeing Dalay in action was great. She was so organized and worked efficiently in the time frame she was given to set up the area. Also, her flower arrangements were stunning! Her aesthetic eye really created that romantic ambiance of the event space. The bride and groom were so appreciative of her work and I’m sure that was a stress relief for them- they could focus on enjoying their special day!

Loving what she does and having a passion for it inspires us. Dalay can work around any budget to create beautiful spaces for any occasion and you can see other events designed by Dalay on her recently launched website!

    Kathy & Sophia!

I love this post. The flowers and the rooftop setting is absolutely gorgeous and I’m extremely guilty of pinning future wedding ideas onto my “Someday Wedding” board. The center pieces of colorful and vibrant and I love the use of the oranges, pinks, and red colors.

    GREAT story!
